Bazile R. Lanneau, Jr.
President

Bazile Lanneau brings the banker's perspective to the design of SumxNet, Sumx' Internet banking system and is responsible for sales, finance and partner development. He has over 26 years experience in the banking industry, most recently serving as CFO of Britton & Koontz Capital Corporation (BKBK) located in historic Natchez Mississippi.

Since 1995, as a leader in Internet banking development from the banker's perspective, Lanneau is a sought after speaker for Internet banking planning and direction. He has been featured in leading technology periodicals such as the American Banker, U.S. Banker and PC WEEK and has lectured on financial institution technology, the Internet, and electronic banking at numerous programs for bankers and trade associations including: The Federal Reserve, FFIEC, American Bankers Association, Bank World, Graduate School of Banking of the South, Online Banking Association, Darling Consulting Group, and the Microbanker Conference & Exhibition.

Lanneau is a 1974 graduate of Vanderbilt University (Chemistry), Nashville, Tennessee and 1982 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Oxford, Mississippi.

Richard Reppert
Vice President & Chief Technology Officer

Richard Reppert is the chief architect of SumxNet, Sumx's Electronic Internet Banking System. He is responsible for the transaction processing engine, the transaction auditing system and overall system security. He is a co-founder of Summit Research, and in his role as designer and architect, he brings more than 16 years of programming experience to Sumx.

Before joining Sumx in 1995, Reppert's previous experience included:

  • BancTec Systems, Inc. - Lead developer of check transport control software for BancTec image transports.
  • Currency Systems, Inc. - Real-time process control for currency counting and sorting transports.
  • IBM - Developer of portions of the OS/2 desktop and the OfficeVision/2 products.
  • Micronix, Inc. - Software security system for PCs used in military installations.

Reppert previously worked for Borland International as a principle author of the Quattro Pro spreadsheet program and as co-developer of the Borland graphics toolkits. His work at Borland earned him a PC Magazine Award for Technical Excellence in 1989.

Reppert is a 1987 graduate of Syracuse University, Syracuse New York.

Mark A. White
Vice President - Operations

Mark White is responsible for the design and implementation of SumxNet's underlying SQL database engine, for data import, data export and system performance tuning. He brings more than twelve years of programming experience, 8 in relational database design and development, to Sumx.

Previously, he served as the technical lead for the design and development of a production control/manufacturing system for Mobil Chemical's worldwide packaging film production plants.

White is a 1986 graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester New York.

Michael Laris
Senior Developer

Michael Laris is an author of SumxNet and is responsible for the application processing system and works on product development.  He brings more than 14 years of programming experience to Sumx and is also a co-founder of Summit Research.

Previous to Sumx, he served as a developer and lead field installer of BancTec's check image transport software. Other subcontract projects include:

  • Adobe Systems, Inc. - Carousel, the first generation PDF document distribution system.
  • Hewlett Packard, Inc. - EISA configuration and test software for the first EISA motherboards.
  • Dell Computers - Motherboard hardware test and diagnostic software.
  • Micronix, Inc. - Software security system for PCs used in military installations.

Laris also served on an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) committee to create a computer graphics interchange standard adopted in 1988 as a national standard, and in 1990 as a world standard.

Mr. Laris is a 1982 graduate of Purdue University, Lafayette Indiana.

Jeri Gibbs
Training & Documentation Manager

Jeri Gibbs joined Sumx in January 1999 as a documentation, training and publicity specialists responsible for all aspects of training and product documentation.   She brings 10 years of technical writing experience and 15 years of public relations work to Sumx.

Previous to Sumx, she worked as a contract technical writer for the following companies:
  • JC Penney Business Services, BancTec Systems, Inc., TU Electric Generating Division, Computer Data Systems, Inc. and Millbrook, Inc.
Gibbs is a 1980 graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington, and is a senior member of the Houston Texas chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
